Launching soon on Robinhood Chain

Memecoins with the S&P 500 underneath.

Launch a coin in one transaction. Every buy and every sell sends 1% into $SPY, held in that coin's reserve. Any holder can burn their coins and take their share of the reserve — no buyer needed.

The problem

Most memecoins have nothing under the price.

Usual memecoin

The hype fades, the chart goes to zero, and holders can only sell to someone cheaper — or keep a dead coin.

Specie coin

Every trade leaves a real asset behind. Even when everyone forgets the coin, its trading history sits in the reserve as $SPY — and holders can take it.

How it works

Four steps. No bots, no servers, no us in the loop.

  1. 01

    Launch

Pick a name and ticker, launch in one transaction. The whole supply goes into the pool and liquidity is locked forever — nobody can pull it, including the creator and us.

  2. 02

    Every trade

1% is taken from each buy and each sell. In the same transaction it buys $SPY — the S&P 500 token on Robinhood Chain — and adds it to the coin's reserve.

  3. 03

    The floor

The reserve is split across every coin in existence. That's a price below which selling makes no sense — you can always redeem at it.

  4. 04

    Redeem

Press “burn”. Your coins are destroyed and you receive your share of the reserve in $SPY. No counterparty required.

The floor

A floor that only moves up.

floor per coin = $SPY in reservetotal supply
  • Every trade adds $SPY to the reserve.
  • S&P 500 growth lifts the value of what's already there.
  • Redemptions don't hurt it. Burning a share of the supply removes exactly the same share of the reserve, so the floor for everyone else stays put.

Play with the numbers

Example, not a forecast
Reserve (70% of the 1%)—
Floor per 1M coins—
You can redeem for—

Reserve = volume × 1% × 70%, then moved by the S&P 500. Real coins depend on real volume.

Where the 1% goes

Most of it belongs to holders.

Split is preliminary and can change before launch.

70%

Coin reserve

Buys $SPY. Belongs to the holders, redeemable any time.

20%

So launching and growing a coin is worth it.

Platform

How Specie earns.

Under the hood

It's a Uniswap hook. Set once, can't be switched off.

Coins on Robinhood Chain trade on Uniswap. Its latest version lets a pool run custom code on every swap — a hook.

Ours does one thing: take 1% of the trade and buy $SPY for the reserve. It runs inside the trade itself. After a coin launches, nobody can disable or change it.

on every swap
// simplified
fee      = trade × 1%
reserve += buy($SPY, fee × 70%)
creator += fee × 20%
platform += fee × 10%

// on burn(amount)
payout   = reserve × amount ÷ supply
supply -= amount
Why now

Two big themes on the chain. Nobody has joined them yet.

Hooks are the hottest thing to build on Robinhood Chain, and it's the only chain with tokenized versions of real funds like the S&P 500. Specie puts the second under the first.

What can go wrong.

We'd rather you hear it from us.

Robinhood controls $SPY

The issuer can pause the token or block a specific address. While it's paused, reserve top-ups and redemptions don't work.

The floor starts small

The reserve grows from volume. For it to hold 3.5% of a coin's value, the coin needs to trade about five times its market cap. Active coins build a real floor; dead ones don't.

Not visible everywhere at first

Trading terminals may not understand pools with a new hook right away. Early on, you may need to trade through our site.

Code can't be patched

Onchain code doesn't change after launch. A bug would mean a new hook. That's why everything is tested on a fork of the real network first.

$SPY is a token, not a share

The reserve holds a Robinhood token that tracks the fund's price. It's not the fund's shares and pays no dividends.

Not live yet

Specie hasn't launched. Nothing here is investment advice, and the numbers on this page are examples.

FAQ

Questions.

What exactly is in the reserve?

$SPY — the “SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust • Robinhood Token” on Robinhood Chain. It tracks the price of the S&P 500 fund. We start with $SPY because it's the one with real onchain volume; other funds can follow once they trade.

Do I need a buyer to exit?

No. Burning your coins pays out your share of the reserve directly. The market price can be higher than the floor — then selling is better — but the floor is always there.

Can the creator rug the liquidity?

No. At launch the whole supply goes into the pool and the liquidity is locked forever. Nobody can withdraw it — not the creator, not Specie.

What happens to the floor when someone redeems?

Nothing. Their coins are burned and they take exactly the matching share of the reserve, so reserve-per-coin stays the same for everyone else.

Why Robinhood Chain?

It's the only chain where Robinhood issues tokenized versions of real funds and stocks, and Uniswap's hook-enabled version is live there.
